Evening Standard: "West London escapes slump but dole queues grow in east"

"West London is surviving the double-dip recession almost unscathed, according to an analysis of jobless figures.

"They show that many areas in the west of the capital saw dole queues shorten, or increase only slightly, in the year to April. In contrast, the claimant count has risen sharply in many parts of east London."
