Brent Council: "Street cleaning: how your streets are graded"

"Keeping the streets clean and litter-free is vital for a decent quality of life for those of us who live and work in Brent.

"Residents, users of the Borough and Brent Council are all responsible for keeping the roads and pavements clean.

"You can help by calling us 020 8937 5050 to report your street, if you feel your street is dirty."

"We measure the cleanliness of Brent's streets using a grading system."

Grade A
No litter or refuse

Grade B
Predominately free of litter and refuse,
except for a few small items

Grade C
Widespread distribution of litter and refuse,
with minor accumulations

Grade D

with significant accumulations
