Statement from Ealing Planning on Incinerator

"It is proposed to defer consideration of the application at the 19 December 2012 Planning Committee, due to the receipt of an objection to the proposal from High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd.

"They have indicated that, whilst the application site lies outside of the safeguarded areas for the High Speed Two development, they may have a requirement for all or part of the site, for purposes connected with the excavation of tunnels at Old Oak Common.

"The applicants, Clean Power Properties Ltd & Network Rail, are therefore arranging to meet with High Speed Two to further discuss their requirements in detail but it is likely that these discussions will not have progressed sufficiently to allow the application to be considered on the 19 December.

"As a result, it has been decided that consideration of the application should be deferred until 9 January 2013 (at the earliest), although the deadline for the completion of reports for that meeting is 21 December 2012 and timescales may be unreasonably tight."
